Why is life not easy?

I drove an 1125cr at a dealers and liked it so much that I ordered one ( knew I would)

When the bike arrived this week it had the clubman’s bars that I do not like. Apart from the wrangle with the dealer, because at no point was it explained to me that the bike I rode had different bars the one I was buying nor was there any mention of 2009 model as opposed to 2010 model that I assumed I was buying.

It looks like I will end up changing them myself: does anyone know what parts are involved? The handlebar and both hydraulic lines need to be changed; my friendly money grabbing salesman says the wiring loom and throttle cables also need changing.

Would appreciate advice from anyone who has done it or really knows.[mad]

The high bar kit comes with everything you need. I heard it is on backorder

You could well be right "Brightbuell" I hated them with a vengeances, but as the bike is getting run in and speeds are going up I am starting to like them (Well at high speed anyway)

Reviving this topic to ask if anyone has had trouble with handgrips fitting the stock CR bars.

I just got a pair of Driven D3 grips for some new OEM bars. Even though both are nominally 3/4" diameter the grip slides on with no effort---which suggests that it will slide right back off with no effort.

Normal?

Solutions? Alternatives to the Driven D3 grips?

I put some D3's on my CR bars with no trouble whatsoever. Curious if the set you have is stretched out slightly.

Nope. I tried again and realized I was fitting the (larger diameter) throttle grip on the bar before the throttle tube is installed. The other grip fits the bar snug, and I'm sure once the throttle tube is on the bar I'll be all set.

The D3 grips went on. Next problem: new OEM plastic bar ends aren't even close to fitting into the new OEM bar.

I've got the bar ends in the freezer right now seeing if shrinking them may help. I have already tried soaking them in boiling water to see if they would fit after the "barbs" were softened. Fail.

Yes, I know, I could buy fancy aftermarket bar ends, but these are dirt cheap and SHOULD fit. ??

No advice for the bar ends, I use bar end mirrors on mine. They stick out slightly, but not so much that you'd notice. Good luck!

Lol put the bar end in a towel and tap it it with a hammer they fit
