If you do that, hang on to it. Those are getting really hard to find these days (in good shape).
I'd recommend having a stock pipe converted to a Drummer rather than buying an SS, if you're going to build an adventure bike. The inlet pipe on the SS is only a "slip fit" that is siliconed into place (no weld means no weld to crack). If you hit the muffler on something while off road, you could dislodge the two. The conversion Drummer is a one piece welded assembly, and you can mount a skid plate to the stock muffler, if you decide to get one.

I'm not saying the Drummer SS is a bad design, but I feel its probably better for a street bike than something going off road.
