if you are still going to have them find and fix the problem and they only will do 10 miles , and it wont be presenting your problem to them at that time then, just tell them you'll ride it until the problem presents itself again and then ride it back to them with the problem going on so they can see it happening and so they can diagnose it and HOPEFULLY FIX ALL THE PROBLEMS,
i have had to have customers do that before with their cars before (at a previous job), because we could not get the car to present the problem they had explained to us(or go on test drive with them, but would not work to well on a bike unless they rode along side you on bike or car.) , once you do that they should hopefully be able to diagnose it and fix it all.

I rarely chime in on trouble shooting questions because I am at the novice end of the learning curve, but...Don't our bikes have an automatic program to shut down the rear cylinder when the temp sensor tells the ecm it is running too hot? Maybe the heat sensor is FOBAR or they re-flashed the ECM during the service call, and it is somehow reading the sensor wrong, telling your bike to run on one cylinder every time your up to operating temp.

Just a thought,

I might agree with the Old guy. I don't see a specific error code for going into drive home mode, just something called Engine Temperature Sensor. What is that, pass/fail? I'd hope at a minimum I'd see the check engine light if the bike was going into limp mode...

Yes I will try that native, thanks... I am thankful that the check engine light has not come on at all during these time. I just know that I got my bike back from the 10k mile service on saturday, drove it 30 home, did the crankcase breather mod on the sunday. and have had problems ever since. I re-did my hoses for the reroute thinking that would solve the problem and it did not. it does not look like they replaced the IAT though when I was doing the changes.

OK so 4 Months, $1,000 dollars, and 6 different trips between two Harley Dealers, my problem has not gone away. I just got my Hawk Muffler put on it and my stock ecm put back onto the bike and it ran beautifully for about an hour. then sure enough as soon as I was close to home, the bike started running bad again. now I have these dealers tell me it was this problem and that problem and have had numerous new wires/parts/ect replaced and NONE of the things they said could be the cause of the problem has been the cause of the problem. My last and only option is to remove the breather re-route that I did before this all started happening to put it back to stock. both dealers knew I had this re-route done but is it possible that they wouldnt have been able to tell whether or not it was the cause of my problem???? [sad] [confused]

You should really push hard at the
dealer for them to justify
why you should not be reimbursed for
all their failed repair attempts. You should
pay them for successful diagnosis/repairs
as that's fair but you spent how much and
have seen no improvement?

ide look in the state section of the government pages and find the brueau of automotive repair and fill out a request. They will politely bust some balls.
