I just want to say that pot holes can f--k a day up in a hurry. I usually wear my jacket but it was such a nice Saturday morning i left with out it. Always protect you just never know.
Thanks to all for interest in the parts but the bike is going to the insurance co. They wanted $2700 to buy it back and I would've been lucky to break even parting it out
I'm looking for a seat cowl (the rear cover) and your bike is the same color as mine so let me know what you want for that if you do decide to buy it from Ins co to part it out. -email me here-
Well i have finally got all the parts and bugs out. The forks took the longest (the Dealship [mad]) but they are all good now. Just glad to be riding again, now that its getting cold. I put the LSL damper on while it was down and it is so great, the best thing I did to the bike. Here are some pics. (will get some better ones ounce the sun comes out and with a real camera (not the phone)). Thanks to all that have helped get me back up and going [up][up]
I like the color[up]
U find the windshields like that creat more of an air pocket at higher speeds? Its pretty hard to tuck under the stock windshield iv been thinking of upgrading.
Be careful with that double bubble, becouse of the way the windscreen is designed,it can create enough heat from the sun when parked in direct sunlight to melt the clear plastic lens's on the gauges,no bs.
If you wear full gear how did you get that roadrash?
Does leather still burn you up like that or did it rip through before it got your skin? I'm planning on spending a good deal of money on gear and dont want a redneck tatoo removal :0
Glad you're alright and maybe you could explain how the roadrash got there for me.
damn, another guy on buelletin board crashed the 1 day he didnt wear his jacket due to heat.. its so ****** that it happens on such a day when you are not protected.
I still cant believe I used to ride my sporty around like a crazy ass with a sleeveless shirt and shorts.. so stupid! I only have a helmet and a leather coat right now and have been pricing a whole set of gear.. wow $1,500 .. . . . well at least it could save my life right?
Man you guys need to be careful out there. Always look way down the road. Its hard to at night though. Kinda makes me not want to ride after dark, but when I do, I never exceed 55mph.
