Custom parts requests

I'd like to start a thread about custom parts not built yet for our buells.

I think I can speak for all firebolt owners and say that everyone wants more room under the tail. Can someone make an extended storage tray to use the empty space past the tray? Only CA bike have the canister there, but I took mine out.

I'd also like to have a plexiglass covers for the headlight bazels so I don't have to clean the bugs out with a toothbrush.

That was the next thing I wanted to add to the 50Dro line but the $50 price-point may be difficult (at least for a machined piece). Might be possible if someone came up with a vacuum formed plastic design?

What about a little piece of saran wrap on the headlights?

Not with wind buffetting. That would tear right off. Covers could be made with Lexan/polycarbonate, but it would require making a mold by filling the headlight area with clay and shaping the face to be flush with the fairing. That and I don't have a vacuum pump to pull a mold. Doable, but would take a lot of effort.

Bttrfngrz- I made my block offs from a panel of CF. I can cut you a set or anyone else for that matter. I can also incorporate amber LEDs into the plate for signals. Hit me up if interested.

im in for a pully cover as well, i cant justify spending a small fortune ffor something like that. i would rather just use stock, but if you can make one for under 50 that would be nice!

Bttrfngrz- I need someone local with a Bolt to make them from. I only have a pattern for the Lightning at the moment. I have these siliconed on and have had zero problems. 2 part 5-min epoxy works too, but if it squishes out, you can't clean it up like you can with silicone with a razor blade around the edge.

Is anyone around the Pomona, CA area that has a Firebolt? If so, I'll make you a set of block offs for free if I can use your bike for a template maker. Securing fasteners would probably be countersunk allen screws with lock nuts depending on if the owner wants them removeable. Otherwise, epoxy or silicone directly to the body.

Just took a look at a close up pic of a 'Bolt's front signals. It looks like the dimple in the fairing is the same as the Lightning's. If so, no changes would have to be made to my existing pattern. $5pr plus s/h for ones like mine. $25pr w/amber LED center for signal w/pigtails (currently waiting for my LED order).

Probably hard at that price point, but it is hard to justify spending more for a purely cosmetic add on. $50 for cosmetic, $100 for small performance improvements, $250 for large performance boosts are kind of my justifiable thresholds.
