Looking at a 03 XB9R that a boat dealer has near me. It has 15k on it and looks to be in good shape (pictures). I am going to see it tonight in person, the guy said there did not appear to be any mods to it. They are asking $3999 for it but he said it will need new rubber soon so he would take $3400 for it. Trying to decide if its a good deal and what to offer them because I am not paying $3400 for it. Thoughts? I have 2 Harleys currently so I would be looking this one as a toy to play with a a little.

try to get it for under $3K I sold my '03 9r 2 years ago for 3K with new tires and a butt load of mods

I was kinda thinking of trying to get out the door with it for 3k including tax/tags. I can pay cash so that may help make the deal a little better.

Thats what I am thinking. 3k seems fair for both of us. That is if its in decent shape.

I really hope this think is not a POS, seems like its a good deal overall. I would hate to ruin it by the bike being junk.

Yep 3K is all I'd pay. My good friend in Phoenix just bought an 09 XB12R with 1500 miles on it for $4700.

There are not many used Buell's around here and even less in my 3k price range. I will be more than happy with the XB9.

9 is just fine, there are quite a few here who have both and even prefer their 9's over their 12's.

$3400 is a bit high with 15,000. Although I have noticed that the price of Buell's have gone up recently.

I am gonna look at it tonight and see if I can get it for 3k. There is not too many of them around here that I have found. I would hate to miss out on a decent deal over a few hundred bucks.

Be patient. My 2003 xb9r came to me at $3100. With accesoriess and only 5,000 miles. I bought it 6 month ago. I waited for the right bike. It was well kept and will stay that way :p

Also, 15,000 is alot for a Bike. See if it was beaten on and also check to see if it has a breather route installed. At that mileage if the owner did that chances are it was well maintained.

I just got an 05 XB9R with the same milage about a month ago for $2500, pretty clean and mostly stock. I know that is on the low end of the price range, but I don't think I would pay much more then 3k.

I got an 07 xb9sx with new tires and 13k miles a few months ago for $3,400. It was in decent shape, runs great.

Well, I went and checked it out. Its in good shape overall, just usual wear and some makes on the plastic. It started right up and sounded good. Is it normal for these bikes to idle a little rough? I offered 3k for it and they came back and said 3200 was as low as they would go. I want it but I dont want to to make a bad decision and pay too much just because I want it. There is nothing else in the Chicago area in the 3-4k price range so I dont want to pass it up and be sorry after the fact. By the way, the tires were not as bad as I thought they would be, I would say they have a few thousand left on them.

be patient the high end is $3300 unless that's $3200 tax and lic out the door i would let it pass bye. oh yeah you would be surprised on how quick you will run through tires.i get about 2500miles out of the rear and 3000miles out of the front
