well it turns out that I wasn't as nervous as I thought, the dummies at HD didn't check out the front end. I took it to a local suspension shop, turns out the front was tweaked just like I thought. the forks had twisted in the triples. it was very slight so you couldn't tell on the straight lines but in low speed corners it would bobble around. now that it has been fixed the bike handles fine and I don't feel uneasy on it.
so I did a few power shifts lofting the front tire up and tapped a feeler in a corner today, it felt GREAT!
