I think the only problem with that route is step #4 before Deckers, it says portions unpaved. I think I've been down that way from the Deckers side and I had to turn around cause it turned to dirt...

I was going to go scout that later this week, last time I took that route there was a one mile section of really well maintained dirt road. Depends on the rider, little bit of dirt never bothered me.

The route is still open... One nice thing about this area is all the canyons to choose from.

The end of that route is about a 2hr ride from the Springs.(I-25) Estes Park is a 2.5hr-3hr ride from the Springs.

Here is another fun route in the area that starts from the same place. http://mapq.st/Jnvbiz

That one seems pretty good! Also if it really is only a mile of dirt on that one route that would be fine...

First weekend of June is here...........
Roll call for everyone wanting to meet up for a ride

I never heard from anyone else about going so I guess it kinda fizzled out [down]

We'll try again I suppose!

Oh well.... still ended up putting almost 200 miles on the bike anyway [cool]

Did end up meeting a group of Buell riders from the Denver area on Sunday. I'll be keeping in touch with them and we'll see about setting up another front range ride.

Really cool pulling into a parking lot and seeing 7 Buells parked in a row. They meet up for rides and track days, they've also done overnight trips to southwest colorado.(there are some great roads over there) They meet for breakfast in Morrison on the first Sunday of every month.

Sweet! I'm down for a breakfast meet in Morrison! You'll have to find out what place/time cause I would like to try it out!

New Buell XB12R 25th anniversary edition owner in Wash park.
1st post and i thought I better say hi to the fellow Denver Buell riders.

What an amazing machine!!!

Welcome CO Buell,

we'll have to see about setting up another Front Range Buell ride. I'm out wandering the canyons almost every weekend and when I can during the week.

New to riding ? Or just new to Buell ? Been bothered by Denver cops about you bike being to loud ??

Had an R1 and R6 about 8 years ago, so yeah I guess Im kinda relearning things. Very new to Buell and looking for a Good shop in denver to tune it. Not been bothered yet, but i have the stock exhaust for now.

My previous bike was a CBR600. Not sure how your 12R will compare, my 12Ss is a lot more fun/comfortable to ride. Really nice having power everywhere instead of just an upper rpm power band.

Are you talking ECM tune or just general maintenance tune??

Noise ordinance is 82db, could probably almost exceed that with the stock can. Cops are more after the idiots on choppers that would see how much noise they could make at 2-3am.

Welcome CO Buell! [up] I'm located west of Colorado Springs, in Woodland Park. It's been a challenge to get all of us together for a ride but we'll keep trying...we're all spread out sadly [mad]

Whats up guys? I live in Denver as well and its riding season so whenever you guys meet up Ill be willing to go. A buddy of mine also owns a buell that would want to meet up as well.

Also been meaning to ask. I see a firebolt quite often around 76th and pecos. Just wondering if thats any one on the forum.

CO Buell:

If you go with Hawk exhaust, I think you can just send your ecm to him also. He'll flash a new map to it. When everything is installed just do a tps reset and your good to go.

you could also try calling High County Harley and see what their prices are for a tune.(only place i know of for Buell off hand)

High country harley and rocky mountain harley are the only two Harley shops in the area that are buell friendly.
