Denver Guys...
What exhaust and air filter is everybody using up here?
Thinking about cutting the stock exhaust but dont just want to gut it....
Any help would be greatly appreciated..

My bike had the factory race kit on it when I bought it. Muffler, ECM, and filter. My air box had also been cut.

I just replaced the filter with a K&N, did the breather re-route and NGK plugs. The bike runs/sounds great.

There are a lot of threads about cutting the factory muffler. Do you want to keep the exhaust servo ?
Just after a better sound or more performance? Depending on what you do, you'll at least need a tps reset. Might need a full tune.

Not sure about the exhaust servo??? Just finished the breather re-route, plugs and K&N are next on the list.
As for the exhaust I'm looking for better sound and performance wouldn't hurt
Mainly dont want to lose performance and want to gain good sound.

I know this is kind of late notice...

I'll be wandering some of the canyons just west of Denver on Sunday. Plan on linking up a bunch of roads to get a 150-250 mile ride in, weather will determine the amount of ridding.

Meet either at the Golden 7-11(just off hwy93, northwest corner of town) or at the Conoco just off 470 at the Morrison exit at 8am.

If my bike didn't leave me stranded on I-70 yesterday with a bad voltage regulator or stator I would be in. Both parts are sold out in CO so I will have to order on Monday.
Next time I'm in!

That sucks.... What are the symtoms ??
I've been lucky, only been a couple of minor electrical problems with my bike in 22,000 miles.

Going down the highway I first got the yellow check engine light intermittently, then solid, then lost instrument cluster, then rough running engine, then complete loss of power and dead battery.
Battery tested fine so charging system is the problem. Just need to test stator and voltage regulator to see if both are bad or if it's just the regulator. Really put a damper on my nice Friday ride!

Nice to meet you! I'm just west of Colorado Springs. I'm trying to get the word out about the Morrison meet on the first Sunday of the month. I'm planning on being there on the 7th as long as the weather is good. Looks like they meet in Morrison right around 10am.
