07 12x 12k miles well maintained. Got a new wobble yesterday. Duplicated the issue twice. Not a death shake but pretty bad. I checked air pressure when I left for the ride so that should've been good. Front tire has about 7k on it. Did notice that the front wheel weight is gone, could that really do it? I'm likely going to get a tire. But just didn't think that little 1/4 weight would make that much difference?

Yes, totally:(. Even just being that old, it could use a re-balance.
I have had great luck using quality balancing beads (1oz in the front and 2oz in the rear). There are lots of old wives tales and stories of "my buddy had them and..." But I have had good luck.

Also check your steering head bearings, triple clamp pinch bolts, and axle tightness.

Don't forget the PBR while you are in the garage:)

You could have a broken steel belt inside the tire and not know, it's common on high performance car tires that have a good amount of miles on them and are many years old but still physically look ok to the eye. They will wobble and shake at certain speeds. I really don't know how to tell if you do or not but those tires you are running have a good amount of mileage on them and I'm sure they've seen their share of potholes and bumps. Let us know how you make out. Definitely that missing wheel weight will wreak havoc as well......

Oh tons of potholes. The only remotely fun roads around her are"chip and seal" county road that get more use by grain semis than anything else. Dodging holes makes the roads even more curvy though! I ordered a new tire last night, going to get some wheel bearings too. If I've got to have the wheel off anyway might as well start fresh!

 bearings are cheap enough I keep an extra set in the garage and swap them whenever I put on new tires. It's overkill, but bearing failure is NOT something I want on my mind when I'm bombing around mountain passes...

Put the bike up on the jack today. The wheel weight is still there, I just didn't see it the way it was sitting in the shed. Checked all front end fasteners, spun front and rear wheels. Head bearings feel good. Stabilizer seems to be working. Front tire is a bit cupped but had been for a while. Seems nothing has changed. But yet a new wiggle. :mad-new:B I'm going to throw a new tire at it and cross my fingers I guess. Damn thing. ..

No problem. Always drives me nuts researching issues that I find 1000 similar problems but it takes me a year of hunting to find one damn person who actually solved the problem and then there's about a 1 in million shot that solution will also help me. Erg, that grinds my gears.... find this to be very prevalent on boating forums.
