display shut off

its 68deg outside im riding home @ 1am, and my battery light comes on.. a minute later the mph goes to -- and the entire backlite shuts off, turn signals dont work.. but headlights and motor stay running. The backlight and mph came and went on and off 5 or 6 times home on a 20 minute ride. Im assuming its the charging system & put it on the tender when i got home. But i just got the fix, according to my stealership...

sounds to me like stator issues... seems like a lot of bikes have the stators fail soon after the harness repair.

if i ride @ 5mph or 100mph this is all my display will give. I have had it on the battery tender for 2 days!! took it into the dealer, funny thing happined i regretted not buying a zx14..

well got word from the dealership, 5 - 8 working days to get in a voltage regulator. I only wonder if my radiator shroud will ever come in thats been 8 weeks on an "vendor Direct" item.

picked up the bike today, ran funny... noticed the tech left cable hanging outta the left hand cover. fixed that, decided to check the coolant since i was on a roll. empty! filled it to the line took it for a ride.... running like new thank god!!
