diy chopped exhaust

here ya go this is what i did. i chopped off the tail end of the exhaust about a 1/2 inch past the exit wall, then jb welded the middle exhaust hole. not completely finished still looking for 2" ports. but so far extremely loud stock car running down the 1/4 mile track loud. and performance increased slightly felt throughout the powerband of course i never had use of a dyno. but i could wheelie easier. then had ecm remapped and totally increased power everywhere. beware if u do this u will run EXTREMELY lean until remapped.

this is prior to having remapped. will get another soon just painting parts and doing mods havent had time.
 
So you are basically running a straight pipe........ IMO since that is how mine was setup when I bought it you might want to do something like this to give you a little back pressure,

Welcome to the forum! I made the same mistake hacking and gutting a brand new XT muffler just going for sound. You may lose some torque.
Props for trying to mod it yourself, but good luck finding a replacement muffler if you want to switch back.
