Eventhough my 07 has already vented cover stock, i decided to cut it anyway. For looks but I hoped that it will help engine to get fresh air more freely.

Here are couple of pics taken along my small project!

Result: I like it :) I just came back from test ride, and there was a HUGE increase of intake sound on acceleration:p

Let me know what ya think :)

edit. I will post couple of better pics probably tomorrow!

Looks very cool!! However the thought of cutting up my cover, never mind what my darling wife would do to my favourite tender bits makes me think I'll keep mine stock. :D Wayne

I've got a role of that same mesh here in the garage...gettin ideas. What about having too much air coming in without a remap? Or is that just when a K&N is done?

This is beautiful. What did you use to cut the plastic? Also, where can a guy pick up the wire mesh at?

Great work, looks badazz.

Thanks alot! :)

I cutted with Dremel and finished the edges with file, carpet knife and sandpaper. I bought that mesh from our local autostore!:)

That is awesome. Might have to do something similar to the tank cover on my Blast, but it actually covers the fuel tank.
