If anyone needs to cut their ride short you can take 55 to 688 in to Hume it will dump you out in Amissville and take 211 into Warrenton that is a nice ride. There is a Foster's Grill at the end of 211 and a soft serve ice-cream place there at the end of 211 that is good.

I will go when the weather is better cold doesn't bother me, but being wet and cold is another story especially for a ride like this. I want to go to Skyline when I can enjoy it. There is still plenty of time left in the year to make a trip there for me.
