I just received ecm cable I bought off ebay. , the service cable end I found on my 2009 Ulysses is under the air scoop on the left side of the bike. The ends are nothing alike. The cable I bought has 4 pins, 2 above the other 2, square shape. The cable end on the motorcycle have 3 pins, all inline. I'm also wondering if I have one of the ecm's that can not be remapped, the # on the ECM is Y0152.1AM 08205
all help appresiated

I don't have a Uly but as far as I know all the bike ends of the cables are the same. You've got the right spy cable. Post up some pictures of the bike side.

The diagnostic port on the uly is under the seat

What am I trying to do? Good question now that I have cable and the cd with ECMspy i would like to have a look see on learning on how this mapping works I have quite a bit of computer experience my 09buell uly has a Jardine muffler, K,N air filter. The bike runs very rough when cold, surges at idle. Anyway I know enough not to try and change anything before I get some help from Tunavercity

You have to use tunerpro on the 09+ buells dont use ecmspy and brick your ecm. PM theoctopus he can help you out with his services.

08's and up can't be read by the "free" version of ECM spy, won't brick it, but, you won't be able to tune anything either

Yes correct, 08+ Buells need ECM SPY w/ecm read & Tuner pro. Whatever you do post Octopus first about IT! make sure the Cable is Correctly wired.
Be Careful W/ E-bay on ECM Spy products MORE than likely the CD won't work for your year of bike.It need to be checked(The CD that is ) before you Use IT!
American Sport Bike is another Option for those Supplies. Xoptiinside is also a great source of those materials as well. You can also down load the proper information at Xoptiinside.com/& find the Drivers Also for your Computer.
Please Read up on this first. AND w/ a Exhaust and other changes make sure to use your TPS Reset Method(Key Turn Method )so as to get the Idle correct as it can be with those changes.Your Bike is 1'100RPMs At Idle.No Matter what the Changes are w/ A Stock ECM! Do the Throttle Position Reset (1st) before you change a single thing. It is Simple and doesn't cost a thing. I think Erik Buell really helped the Buellers out on that one! The TPS reset takes about 3/minutes to accomplish! Then after That Take it out for a Relearn Ride to get the Feel of the Engine, 08+ Buells have a TPS reset by Key Method.I have 2/XBs-08 & 09-XB12Rs. [Post up] if you need that. Someone on here will help you with that. After you get the Engine Idling better so you can at least ride, Now the Exhaust will pop some on Decelleration but till you retune the ECM you can get around. You will get tired of the poping Quickly enough.
It won't hurt the Engine but with the Muffler you have it will Hurt the Muffler in time. Those are somewhat Fragile, They sound Great for Those That like them . Get with Octopus and you will be riding mountains in no time.Good Luck.*Jimi
