Double Backup Camera Mirror Mod.

Its not for backing up...It was to replace the side mirrors when switching lanes and what not. I honestly thought you guys were joking....WOW

We are joking..... Hahaha.

Anrkizm was messing with your wording and I tossed in a bit about some bunk DIY.

Personally I don't see a reason for two rear facing cameras. I can understand one with a fish eye lens but not two separate screens and cameras.

I don't even have mirrors on my bike and a review camera would actually benefit me greatly.

ie my bike

The only reason I was going to try 2 was because someone was selling a set of them pretty cheap and I figured why not. They aren't the best or most expensive so i am not sure how wide of a lens it will be or even how good the picture quality will be. But they are brand new

i used a v3 backup camera on my lightning, it works ok, hard to judge distance accurately but better than nothing.i welded cross bar on handlebar like dirtbike for my mounting, with small piece of stainless to velcro it to.that way i can remove wen washing etc.if u really like to see well behind u i dont recommend this mod.nite time is terrible

i also had one on my firebolt and it lasted for two years and was working wen i sold the bike.it had even been wet more than a few times.lol

I should be picking them up this week...haha craigslist deals sometimes take a while. We will have to see how this goes [confused]

did you ever get this done? i chopped my front fairing way down and no longer have mirrors. really thinking about doing this.

I have a lot of time invested in trying different ways to eliminate my mirrors. Some issues that came up were vibration (screen swim). Vehicle headlights on some cameras. Glare on the screen from the sun. And camera angles. First off, if you are going to do it don't go cheap like everybody does and use one fish eye. Either get a split screen and 2 cams, or 2 complete systems. If this is what you want on your bike don't listen to the negative crap people will throw at you. After all, you want to be able to put the mirrors wherever you want with a good safe view of your surroundings and a huge WOW! factor. Tadi brothers is a good start you might check for small LCD screens as they give you all the dimensions. Angle of your cameras? Do you want 90, 120, 150, or 170deg angle? As soon as I replaced the mirrors with LCD's I was experimenting with replacing them with a modified pair of 920 i-glasses mounted in the helmet. Just my 2 cents! Good luck.
