Well it finally happen. Took my eyes off the road for two secs and now my bike is wrecked and I am in the hospital. Worst day!!!

Get better man hope all is well and it's all in the details and pics when your up for it that is

Ah man that's horrible brother. Feel better and don't stress over the bike, let's get well first. Keep us updated.

I am good to go. Was taking an exit and going plenty slow. Wasn't sure if I need to turn left or right, so I was looking for the place I needed to go, instead of the road ahead of me. So, needless to say, I found myself in the dirt...was going to lay it down, but there was a highway sign lying on the ground. Only thing I could do was grab some brake, and that tossed me. Luckily I was wearing my gear, which saved my ass. Thank you to ICON for making a great helmet, I was knocked the **** out for a bit, but my brains are still in tact. Thanks to all of you for the well wishes. Will post photos of the damage when I get to finally see her...I am sad. Not sure what I will do. I will always be a Buell fan, but wondering now if I should hang up the keys.

Don't loose faith in your abilities. It seems like we're all hesitant to ride after a spill, but you'll feel the mojo again soon. Good to hear that you're ok though.

Glad your ok Rod. Take some time and think about it. Im sure youll make the right choice.[up]

a few laps at the (dirt)track; scale a few doubles & some hard burms and u'll be fine,,,[up]

Dont hang up the keys!!!! Everyone has a bad spill. Just continue to keep that gear on and learn from the mistake

Best wishes bro!

Nice to know your ok man. Give it some times to think about what your going to do a quick decision could not be the best thing.

accident is alway a possibility, do not throw in the towel, you'll regret it for years to come!

good recovery! ;)

Yeah I had the samething happened to me back in Dec '08 when I was struck in the leg by a piece of debris(metal pipe) as I was riding on the FWY that had broke my Fibula and Ankle.

But I'll tell you this, before I could properly walk without crutches, I was back up on the bike once the Dr. removed the cast and placed me into a removable "Boot" and gave me a fold up cane, and am LOVING IT ;)[up]

Sorry to hear about your get-off. Where did it happen? When your up and running I'll let you borrow my bike to get the juices flowing again - 5 minutes and you'll be wanting another bike. Shot me an email if you need any help - I'm only 15 minutes away.

Thanks EVLXB, and everyone else for the good wishes. I am sure I will ride again, but it certainly was a gut check. The accident was at M-23 and Hill Road near Flint. I was headed down for a wedding reception. Drove for an hour and wrecked about 30 seconds from my destination. :D

I felt the same way when I wrecked my bike, said I would hang up the keys, a million things went thew my mind. What if next time its worse, what about my wife and kids. I was kinda scared to get back on the bike. Well that was 2 years ago and im riding more than ever now. I just takes time. If riding is in you, you cant shake it. Just take it slow and hope you get better soon.

Get back in there. Gear is good.

One time I low sided one of my race bicycles at over 30mph. Had rounded the same turn at over 40mph many times before. Just different road conditions. What a dry and dusty summer it was. (I had just won gold in the state games road race weekend before) Worst part, aero skin suits provide no protection. It took about a year for me to quit tip toeing around and attack those apex.

Don't do anything drastic. Hang in there. [up]
