What day are you planning to go? This sounds awesome since I've never been to the dragon but with school if I do decide to go it wont be till Friday afternoon. I'm only a few hours away though in the Raleigh area. If you were going on Friday can meet up somewhere off of 77 and ride out. I'm still undecided at the moment.

I am in Columbia, SC and riding up prolly thursday night or friday morning I havent talked to my buddy who is in Greenville so we will ride that way. If you guys all wanna meet up and go im cool with that.

Hey I want to book my room and I know that the gap is full what is the name of the other places that are close by? I thought about tenting but I dont think i can carry everything up there and back on the buell and dont wanna put it in my truck.

How much do you guys think this trip would total? Ill be coming from Missouri with my truck most likely (17mpg). Just a rough est, food, gas, motel cost, etc.

I wouldn't try it with less than 7 bills, 650 if I thought I could have a bit wired if I got in trouble. but then I'm the type to roll up in the back of the truck to sleep and live off of Roman noodles for the trip.

I wouldn't try it with less than 7 bills,

I,m driving from WI.With everything I could think of I came up with.
$185 in fuel there and back.
$50 a day for gas in bike = $200
$125 for room 4-nights sharing a room.
$200 food 5 days
= $710 give or take.

Anyone that has done the trip before that see's something I'm forgetting please correct.

I want to go but theres no way i would be able to come up with that much money. I would be able to pay for gas and probably bring some food to eat on myself to save but idk about a room.

Loki, why not make it an adventure? leave the truck at home,ride the bike with just what you can carry in a backpack. Only stay two days and worry about were to stay when you get there. Look up Citico Creek free camping.
