One more thing: when accelerating hard in 1st gear, there is a cogging / slipping feel to the rear wheel and drive belt . . . as if the belt is actually slipping over the drive sprockets . . ? The belt is in good shape, tension seems correct, and the belt teeth don't 'look' abused . . any ideas or similar experience? I've also read of issues with rear wheel bearings and will checking those @ the soon to come tire change.
Thanks,

I feel something similar but I think its my clutch thats slipping rather than the belt. Only happens sometimes in first during full throttle acceleration. I think you would deff see some damage to your belt if it was skipping teeth.

Mine did that last fall when I was riding in 30 degree weather, I figured mine was the tire being cold and not gripping.

Adjust the clutch adjustment in the Primary. Procedure is in Service manual or Dave has a DIY Vid of it.

Yeah, it's not the clutch; that only slips in 3rd gear or above...and it's very obvious what's happening. The 'cogging' symptom, as if the belt is slipping over the teeth is unique. Does it matter that the front wheel is off the ground? [smirk]

hi,
did anybody find out the answer to this ?

cheers paul
