So I tried to go through a drive through at McDonalds on my bike today. I've done it before at other places with no trouble, I pull up, shut off my bike, place my oder, give money, receive my fatty lazy food, place it in my tank bag and leave. Everyone is happy...

Today it was lunch time, very busy, but they wouldn't even talk to me! I waited almost three or four minutes, cars behind me honking, but still, not a sound from that damn speaker. I ended up pulling past the drive through while flipping off the workers inside. I could see if they didn't want to serve me, but at least tell me that. Anyone else ever had a problem like this?

Are you sure they even knew you were there? Maybe you were not tripping the sensor that alerts them a customer is waiting...could have just pulled up and asked/ordered at the window.

[up] spud. It's been about 6 years since I've eaten at a fast food place(exception of occasional subway) and I can't imagine eating that kind of food again. It's crap.

it was lunch time so it was busy, and they knew it. And I could see the camera that was pointed right at me for monitoring the drive though. Plus they had a double lane drive through and the other lane was going.

Anyway, its probly for the best. I went home and made a salad :D

haha, yeah man I worked fast food when I was 16, and you didn't set that sensor off. Even if they saw you there, there wasn't anything they could do until the sensor picks up to their headset. Even if they have a headset that would let them talk, they wouldn't have been able to hear you talk back so they wouldn't have bothered. Monitor for the camera is probably in the supervisors office, and he was probably stuffing bags for the lunch hour, and the 16 year old back in the hole taking orders was too happy the thing stopped ringing long enough for him to take a break.

Don't hold it against them. Any time I've ordered food on a bike I just ride straight up to the first window and tell them what I want.

Now, on the other hand, i rode to the airport once to meet someone and that stupid gate at the parking garage would NOT lift up to let me in no matter how long I sat there. I know it was just sitting there laughing at me inside it's stupid robot brain. I had to sneak in when a car pulled up behind me and lifted it, but then I didn't have a ticket and had to go over and talk to the guy at the exit booth just so he would remember me when I left since I wouldn't have a way to pay when I left.

I get ignored by traffic lights all the time...just not big enough to trigger the turn arrow, but flipping them off doesn't really help me feel better.

You have to put much anger into a solid flip off to feel good about it.

Grit your teeth next time. [mad]

Just keep eating McNasty and you will get that weight packed on enough to trip that sensor..

Take it easy on McDonalds, remember , they gave us that WONDERFUL mystery meat treat , THE McRIB !:p

Go to Taco Hell, they cater to us bikers with their handy little plastic bags with the loops for the handle bars... :p

fast food places make me turn my bike off when i order... they say its too loud... never to loud!

+1 on that vroom [up] same here! I never eat that crap , the smell alone of mcfatties makes me sick to my stomach . i'd rather smell a fresh gutted deer and eat its great real god made natural meat!

fast food is fatties food for the future diabetics and future Obese, who dont care about what put in there bodies,
America the United States of the Obesity .

that's my opinion but you eat want you want i prefer real food, not processed food.

if someone is a fat ass then coll them them how and where to eat, but untill that is esablished dont tell someone where they can and cant eat. Most of you feed your kids that shit. Keep it real.

Im 6 ft and 145, i can eat all the shitty food i want, to answer your question/statement, your bike probabley did not set off the sensor. Next time roll a couple feet past the intercom and then roll back and you will set it off.
