Probably my fault, but still blaming it on the C U Next Tuesday that was sitting at the T stop for 5 minutes, waiting for her mile wide opening. She hits like gas like she's gonna go, so I start to go forward, then she slams on the brakes, and I nosey about 2 inches from her bumper and tips. Looks like the puck took the worst of it, just a little scrape. Busted lense on the turn signel, and the toe/rubber part of the shifter link is a little bend towards the foot peg.

Best way to bend the toe shifter back? Anything else I should look for?.. Throttle seems to be a little more initial play, but is probably just in my head. I picked the bike up, wouldn't start. Turned key to off, then back to on, then it started no problem. Was low on gas, refueled about 15 miles later, started right up again.

Toe shifters are on ebay cheap, or the whole shifter assembly at a HD dealer for less then 30. Be careful when buells are dropped kinda like an infant. It might get retarded...jus sayin

There is an inertia switch that kills the bike if it falls over. I would just replace any damaged parts rather than trying to bend them back into place. It sounds like you need less than $100 worth of parts.

TOTALLY agree with those who say replace the shift lever. It's cast aluminum and has already been fatigued. If you bend it back you are likely to weaken it even further if not break it altogether.

Could you be more specific Sics? Anything I should be looking out for, or bringing it in for a mechanic to look at?

Used to dealing with my Sportsters.

the bike will be fine and good info regarding shifter. if it eases your angst have a tech or enthusiast experienced with Buells give it a once-over and double-check the bike but it will be fine. i would let it sit overnite and check all fluids being primary, swingarm, front and rear master cylinders (forks unaffected) just to be sure. OR if you're near southern PA bring it by and i would be happy to give it once-over for you free of charge.

what a nice gesture. John, you are a true gentleman

Do appreciate the gesture John, unfortunately I'm in rainy ass Minnesota. Already put a new signal cover on, and have been out riding it all day, no issues whatsoever.
