Ducati just out did the 1190rs :(

One heck of an impressive bike. It sure looks to seriously outclass all other v2 superbikes at the moment. Plus you gotta consider that the hp and weight are in EPA and DOT street legal trim. Gotta figure a race-preped one would pick up a few hp and loose ~20lbs just by unbolting parts, re-mapping and bolting on exhaust.

I love the 1190, but Duc stepped it up! RSV4 tail for sure and the front does resemble the Honda to me right before they get below the lights. Rest of it looks like Ducati to me Love the underslung exhaust and single sided. Italians have always had style in my opinion, but I would love to see a shootout!

I'm sure they will go head to head in a Cycle World shootout at some point. Until then its all speculation as to which bike is truly better in the real world.

Even after a shoot out it still boils down to personal preference and feel. So many of my customers are caught up in a certain brand because of what their friends ride, what they've read in the magazines or what their parents told them was the best. It's a shame there are not more multi line dealers that have demo days. Just tooling around on 3 or 4 different bikes in one day can make up ones mind better than any magazine shoot out.
