Moto mummy has these on sale for 220 a set. Seems like a pretty good price, but I so a fair amount of highway riding. Are these a pretty good mileage tire or more of a track tire? I've read the reviews and they sound like they would keep the bike pretty nimble and stuck to the pavement. I'm looking for more of an actual use review, not someone that used them for a few hours.

I had the Q2 and it wore out very quickly - mostly on the shoulders. If you mostly do highway riding, you may look into a more touring tire, rather than sport. How much mileage are you doing annually?

7k roughly, I use it to commute on nicer days. I plan on doing a couple longer road trips this year, something I've never done before. Bike still has the stock Scorpions on it, and I'm not a fan. They have felt unstable at times.

I've gone through a couple sets of q2's and one set of the q3's. I do like the q3 a little more than the previous q2 design. You'll prob get around 5-6k miles out of them so if that's okay with you go for it. They are really a high performance tire designed for the street and some occasional track use.

For a lot of highway Id really consider the Michelin pilot road 4. Chances are you don't need the high level of grip from the Dunlop q3 on the road, but they are a great tire. A friend of mine runs pilot roads and he can keep up with me on the twisties without much issue. We are doing speeds to get in plenty of trouble too.

Hey Buellers. New to the forum here. Ride a 2008 XB12R (arctic white) anyway just purchased the Dunlop Q3's both front and rear. I'm just north of Seattle so we are coming up on wet and dry days. Should have them on the bike in the next week or so. I do really aggressive street riding and I ride rain or shine. I will post an extensive review from scrub in on through the life of the tire. Both wet and dry performance. As well as commuting and hitting the twisty stuff to. Looking forward to a great riding season. Sorry to jack the thread.

I have a set of Dunlop road smart q2s.. these are a sport touring tire.. I run the twisties hard and the straights even harder.. it will break loose just like any other bike with 140hp... I did notice that the front doesn't wear as well as the rear.. seems to wear out faster.. I may consider a different tire this time around.. but these were good for around 6k miles
