I was watching that video on here about the tour of ebr factory and that guy bought one of the 1190RS, the white that he bought does look amazing. I was wondering besides that guy buying one, does anyone know how many 1190RS Erik has sold. I hope that people are buying them, I would if I could afford $40,000 price tag. It would be nice if he sold quiet a few so he could start making the other future models he has listed on his website.

From what I have read, they made 100 bikes and all 100 are sold. Haven't heard much more than that. Hope we get some updates in the coming months.

Not all 100 are sold. All 100 are signed for meaning some dealerships are selling them or at least trying to.

Dealerships!?!?!? What dealerships? That seems pretty weird considering that no HD dealership will be selling new bikes. Seems to me they will sell themselves, through racing teams and sponsors.

On the EBR site it's advertising for sellers to inquire. There will probably be a handful of exotic dealerships (aprilia/duc/MV etc) and a handful of jap bike dealerships that take on the new Buells. We won't be seeing them at any HD stealerships - which is only a good thing!

Sorry to burst ur guys bubbles but he is going after another market to pay the bills for now. I'm sure they are still going to build nice high hp bikes but read this.

i hope thats not the big news they are going to announce soon instead of the new 1190 models

don't really think hes going to put years and years of r&d into the 1190 just to make 100 and move to 250's. hes trying to make an array of bikes for a variety of markets/riders. naked, track bike, learner, etc.

do you really think that his design for a 250cc isn't going to be a badass piece of art? that makes insane power

Yes they are all sold, if a dealer has one it is sold to that dealer, EBR does not consign the 1190 to the dealer, they are a reseller. If I buy one and sell it through my shop I still have to buy it from EBR and transfer title to whomever buys it from me.

ha thats a joke.

the first one sold to someone in wisconsin was sold through the harley dealership in wisconsin.

the one in the video was sold through the harley dealership in woodstock illinois.

all new 1190s must be sold through a dealership.

all new 1190s must be sold through a dealership.
Not really, they can be sold through EBR direct from the manufacturer. EBR most likely can do DMV transactions, but if not a buyer would need to do more crap to get it registered, not a lot more in my state but a bit.

Uh I didn't see anywhere in that article that says he is building them. Much less designing. He designs motorcycle FRAMES he has never deisgned or built any motors.

I guess what he is trying to do with the 250 is like the article says is to have a bike for new riders just like the blast was made for. He brought the 1190RS out first to show this is what we can do with time and money. Now hopefully he is going to start making bikes that everyday people like us can afford and will buy his bikes because they are amazing machines. With him bringing out the 250 to me is a good sign that he can still build bikes and isn't going to go out of business.

He needs a 600 or 750 in my book. A bike that's around 10K and is unique and competitive but not held back in execution like the XB's were.
