This was posted to EBR's Facebook page shortly after noon EDT today:
The sale of EBR assets has now been scheduled. It will be done in a bidding process on July 21st between a number of potential buyers at an event managed by the receiver. Then all bids are subject to court approval, scheduled for July 23rd. Looking forward to moving ahead soon!
That announcement was followed an hour later by this:
To be clear, this sale is not a selling off of individual pieces, but as it states in the court documents, it is selling off in large blocks as an ongoing concern sale.

Let's hope something REALLY good comes out of this.

If you really like getting butt fucked, then yeah should be a good thing!
In all seriousness us EBR owners will be shit out of luck. Best case scenario someone makes some parts available to us

^ Well, the sodomy has already occurred. Now we get to see if EBR gets its just revenge or not.

best wishes for EBR to get back into the game

....don't think revenge is in the picture...just simply to continue building bad ass motorcycles to show the other brand names that have dominated the sport bike industry for years that there's an American brand on the playing field. which has already kicked your asses on the track too:D

For the record, a going concern auction means the receiver feels the company is best left in a state in which it can continue to profit, rather than liquidating the company. As such, the lots are being auctioned off in a way that buying a certain lot will allow the buyer to produce bikes without much further ado. All in all, this is a fairly optimistic way for the receivership to end.

This was posted by EBR to their Facebook page last night:
The brand name is in the lot of intangible assets and intellectual property. The assets have to be broken into segments like this by law, but it is a going concern auction and a number of bidders are coming with the intention to buy all the lots necessary to move the company forward again. The outcome is of course unknown, but it actually looks very good to us.

Thanks for the link. IDS posted this same article and seems to remain optimistic as well. Awesome to get so many nuggets of factual information straight from the source.

They have postponed the auction date again. I can hardly sleep..........I wish E. buell all the best.......an absolute legend

Pushed the date back by "a few weeks" was what I was told, however, it should be some VERY good news coming soon. Couple of people I talked to that are "in the know" are extremely positive at this point.
