EBR Stator (No More!!!!)

Buellxb Forum

Help Support Buellxb Forum:

I'm In the same boat, my stator went out at 5100 miles. I have bought the EBR rotor and now I'm going to get my stator rewound by http://www.ricksmotorsportelectrics.com/. Custo
Rewind does not guarantee that their rewound stators will last, ricks does for one year After all is said and done I will probably buy the CE605 series regulator to finish the package. Anyways good luck.

Custom rewind does guarnetee them for one year .
Hell he even refunded my money when i went the warrentee route when mine burned up

I have the whole EBR rotor/stator kit, but now I'm having trouble finding the rotor removal tool. After removing the nut, the tool threads onto the rotor and has a jacking bolt through the middle to separate the rotor from the splined shaft.

Anybody know of a source for that tool? Is it absolutely necessary to have it, or is it just the easiest way to do the job?

This is why I sold my Buell and got a triumph. It is a pain to get parts but a least they stand behind their products.

My Stator went out about 1000 miles ago. It was covered under warranty by HD. I am in the process of getting the modified rotor from EBR. Question now is, should I trust the stator with 1000 miles on it and just do the rotor mod, or should I pre-emptivly get the stator rewound at the same time and put it all back together that way? Any suggestions or comments are welcomed.

When I had my Honda I had HD friends! Go figure :p

You can of course get a Stock Stator from the Dealer, I know BOOOO!but sometimes got to bite the bullet, the 08/Stator should fit in the Bike. So Far there is no Cure for this problem Except for the Rotor reworking Etc..
Now last year I put some parts on a Guys Harley he had sent to Aftermarket,That someone you could check with like maybe(Acell)ignition products I put them on for the Guy and he told me that the parts had a lifetime Warranty as long as you owned the Vehicle. Accel used to have a lifetime Warranty for many of the parts, they sold.He sent the Regulator and the Stator & bought back from them.
OF Course that means you will need to send the Orignals to them! I have been told that the Rotor reworking was to help Fix the Problem.
Yes my CR I had to install a new one)Stator)& the Rotor reworked by Buell in 2011. I have the Orginal parts and plan to keep extra parts(New) in stock till someone pops up with a better Idea!I love the CRs power band but sometimes it does get old and maybe someone will come out Eventually with a cure. I think I will check on that with Accell myself .Good Luck.*Jimi

To the post that had issues removing the rotor, you don't need a special tool. I did the tool loaner program from autozone and used a 3 jaw pulley pulled worked great. You do need about he biggest one they have tho.

Well HD called me back today and said they would have no problem putting EBRs parts on and I told HD I was doing a rewind he said he has a burned 09 startor sitting on his desk from the last guy so come get this one and send it in so we dont have to wait for it after we take your bike apart.Thought that was pretty Kool of HD[cool]3 weeks from now I should be back on the road!!!!

Great news dude! hope we can get a ride in soon. I told you it would all work out if you put your problems in the hands of the lord.

That is pretty cool of the dealership. Did they happy to tell you if you wound have been able to order an 08 stator the the dealership?
