Had a good look objectively and lovingly over it and its definitely not "snap" I love it like when I first set my sights on my XB12Ss. I really love the RX and was hoping the SX would be more styled towards the XB lightning . What's with the really low oil cooler and transformer like headlamp . To me its like a Kawasaki Z series and as a streetfighter I thought it may be easier to live with and more aggressive bulldog like pose (seat still looks like a track day bike) . I was going to sell my bikes to get one but am holding out for a real life look and a substantial dealer network here in Australia. I do like it and would love to have that fantastic engine but I prefer he typhoon looks ...That is one sexy beast .

@sext9 - the headlight you drew up looks much more like what I was expecting. The tail's a bit too short (top pick) but I think looks better for the SX than the RX piece. And of course mirros are required at a certain height from the factory. [up]

I think I really like the Typhon better. Here's a side by side.

I think it's really the cooling pods on the side I keep coming back to that I can't seem to get along with. The look seemed so much better on the Typhon. Perhaps when I get a few of my other projects done, I'll just buy an SX and change it.

The point of a naked street fighter is to not hide anything and show as much of the bike mechanicals as possible. I bet 90% of the guys here removed the chin fairing from their bike and would if they get a SX.

I think that's partially because EBR waited so long past the RX for the release of the SX that us eager ones thought there would be something "extra special" coming. The SX is special - but why the extra months of wait time?

Overall I'd still take the SX over the RX

I agree that the bike is nice, but after finally seeing and sitting on the RX I can say I will probably look else where when I go to get a new bike.

I really like my XB12's seating position. I enjoy putting tons of miles on during a long ride and not feeling the need to die afterwards, as many of my friends who ride crotch rockets tend to be. My only discomfort comes from my riding gear, from time to time.

But this looks to be a stripped down version of the RX and I didn't like the seating position on it. I have sat on the KTM 1290 and the BMW S1000R and they are closer to what I have on my XB, though the BMW has you slightly more stretched...but not by much.

The RX is nice, but not nice enough for me to drop 18k+. And I have a feeling the SX will result in the same, though I know the price will be less.

Great to see EBR rolling strong either way. I still support the brand.

Looks like they had to compromise design in order to stay on schedule. But then again, I can't really pinpoint what I was expecting..

I'd have preferred the Typhon headlamp setup myself. Otherwise, it's essentially a stripped RX. Looks like they used the same LED headlamp as the RX, just different plastic around it. That said, the hard part is done. Source a set of Lightning head lamps and a fly screen, you're pretty well done.

The rumor is that all the X models will use that same headlight.
