And in that video, they are in Indianapolis at the track today.  They're like a couple miles away from me.  I wonder if I can get into see it.

I tried.

I messaged Cory West earlier and asked. Then a contact at IMS =( no go.

Not 100% sure if I like it yet or not.

1. I wish the tail were different from the RX - not much different, but something that makes it more of an SX than a RX without the fairing on the side and the front...

2. The front headlight housing could be just a tad shorter length wise, not height. Maybe more Duc Streetfighter-esque.

3. The bike looks great in white!

4. The pods look better than the 1125's, but could still use some work.

5. Handle bar positioning looks great for comfortable riding - not sure about the seat.

6. I like the silver pieces cover part of the muffler under the pegs.

Meh. I'm not sure what to think yet. Looks all clunky. Doesn't really have much of a central aesthetic design to it?? Literally just looks like the fairings were pulled off of the RX an viola. SX. I suppose that might have been what they were going for though. More of a bike that is still the 1190rx but just a different version. I guess I was hoping for more of "another model" approach rather than "another version". In that aspect they did a good job retaining the 1190rx part. I was really hoping for a different SX tail section. The RX tail is badass, on the RX. I'm not sure I'm feeling it as much on the SX. Need moar street fighter. Overall I give it a solid "meh". I blame that headlight assembly :vomit:

Looks like them good ol pods are here to stay. I wonder of the 1125 pods will retrofit LOL :D

SEXT9: The bike isn't out 2 hours and already modding?! :D Exactly why I love the Buell culture, independent just the way I like it.

If a mod to the headlight assembly and pods gets developed then I might be interested. Not sure about the tail and chopping it all the way back. Looks like a bad haircut where the clippers got a little to close. Anyone know if Randy has any plans for a Hawk exhaust for the RX and SX?

@Dean

Working on becoming the *official* aftermarket sports exhaust manufacturer for EBR?? Much like BMW has akropovic, and so on?

No, just doing my own thing. I don't want to commit to what they want. Figure 3000 units per year (to start) on just the stock exhaust alone. I don't have the resources to do it. Then, figure 10% will want an aftermarket pipe. There's 300 units. Now look at what I've made in the last 5 years. I just shipped #222. There's no way I can do it and stay comfortable like I am right now. I don't want to turn this into a full time job where that's ALL I ever do, all day long. I schedule and build at MY pace right now and I'm happy that way. I've built a solid business out of this (I think anyway) and I'm good with where I'm at.

that seems low.i have never and dont know anyone who has kept the stock pipe on. 50% would still seem low. i wouldnt be surprised if you had 1000 to 1500 per year with the ebr and the older buell stuff.depending on your price 600 min to 1000.hire a couple welders to crank out pipes expand to other makes in a year or 2.it wouldnt be far fetched to say you could have 1.5 to 3 million dollar gross business in a couple of years.

10% was the target number mentioned to me last year.

The other part of it is, I (oddly enough) still like doing these. If I hire people to do something that I like to do, then where does that leave me when I want to weld? Yeah, I know, sitting on the back deck drinking a beer or two.
