Ok so i've had my 06xb9r for 4 months now it has the k&n filter and nothing else to the best of my knowldge . Ive noticed that the ecm resets it self every time i shut the bike off. So i just did the crank case breather mod and put about 60 miles on it so far and now it doesnt reset it self and i have no rev limiter but its runnin like a raped ape . So now im wondering do i need to have it reset or will it be fine?

When you say reset what do you mean? Have you checked your battery to make sure it hold volts? Personally I will not run without a stock rev limiter. They were put there from the factory for a reason

Yeah the batt is good it's only 9 weeks old and i checked the voltage and it's where it should be but idk if it was reseting but i couldnt program the clock and the trip would always zero out when i shut the bike off and now it doesn't

check the battery connection. my 03 XB9R would do that every once in a while. it would lose my trip meters and the clock would reset after i would shut it down. as for not having a rev limiter, mine never did that. but once i made sure the battery connection tight, i haven't had that happen again. it was just loose and the seat would hold the cable in place for the most part, but the connection would miss occasionally.

not very likely its your ECM, (you would have other tale tale signs if it ecm problem i.e. check engine light on all the time or not coming on at all among other possible problems.)..
the clock going out and trip resetting that is battery or electrical connection Problem or short or open in the gauge cluster wiring. possiblily a loose or broken harness connector.

nope its my daily driver. and i undid the battery and let it sit for awhile to try and reset it and that didnt help any
