ECMDroid - Data logging with your Android phone

Well please understand I am no expert at this but I checked my 00 x1 today and did a short log and opened it in the newest version of megalogviwer and it displayed correctly when I set it to look at "load" for tps value. The readings came out correctly on the log. My 00 x1 has a BUEJA ECM with no MAP sensor and my 09 XB12Ss has a BUE2D ECM with a MAP sensor and both of them read correctly in Megalogviwer. All I do is check the box for "MSL" on ECmdroid under logs, hit "start recording" ride the bike, then with the bike still running I click " stop recording" and ecmdroid saves the file on the phone. It will save two files, one bin and one MSL file. I e-mail the file from my phone to myself and the save the MSL file on my laptop. Next I open Meglogviwer and open the log. Set the y axis for "load" and play the log. One thing I did notice on an earlier version of Meglogviwer "load" was not an option to select but you could select "other" and type in "load" and it would read it correctly as well. So from my limited knowledge I do not think we should need to modify the MSL file in excel for it to read correctly in Meglogviwer. Another note I found out that Ecmdroid would not connect to my bikes while they are running for some reason. The key had to be on and engine off for it to pull the data out of the ECM for it to connect properly.

Just my .02. Can someone try this on your bike and let me know if you get the same results?

Helloo guys.

Ok this is what to do.
step by step.

do not convert the TPB10Bit... dont even use it at all.

As seatonii mentions, use the LOAD. it is the actual value that is your true setting on map position in relation to throttle position. (all bikes)

LOAD Is your real value to use. Android , Tunerpro or Ecmspy.

What happened is MLV for a long while had this setting which is for cars not bikes on the TPS10 bit and the confusion came when the TPS10bit showed up on the buell data for you to see. It was not done to confuse you but it did. Therefore, these two values are not the same in meaning across all ecm types. remember MLV is a many ecm type program. which sometimes makes the issue.

The new MLV does have Load as a selection now. It use to have only TPS 8 bit and others without LOAD.

On MLV. Select you ecm type (BUELL) select your TPS type (LOAD).

open your data log (any source)
I'll cover android only for now.

if you use my MSQ maker available do that from the bikes eeprom file.
open your MSQ with MLV

now open the datalog file.

now you will see it playing in the correct position for tps.
(where as if you do the above way it is close but not accurate.
which is a very good effort but not 100% trying to use the TPS 10)

when analysis is going on use advance settings.

AFR Field set to Load and EGO correction set to Gego.
cell change set to hard.
Lamda set to 2

run each save and use the map on the bike.

Youtube video to follow... No sound.. Just watch the movements and do what I did to get it to load correctly with the Android app datadlog.

Here you go xopt

Also are we able to rename the xpr file to .bin so tunerpro can read it?I learned on tunerpro and would love to use my captured data on that.

This seems like the best they to post this...

I was able to disable the interactive exhaust valve on my '09 Firebolt with ECMDroid. During many searchers I didn't find anything that confirmed that it would work or not on the 08+ ECMs.
