Hey! Does anyone have a new version of Ecm Spy greater then 1.12.26. I can't find anything higher. The reason I am asking is I have a 08' xb12r and I don't think it is reading my ecm right. The map only shows rpm of 8224 in every column and a TPS of 13%

Hi there!

From what I understood:

* the ecmspy project is cancelled, you probably have to most recent version
* 08 Buells and up aren't really supported. This means it doesn't show you maps. From what I gather you can get the hex dump out though, but you'd have to edit it in there.

Yeah I have save the hex dump. That worked but when looking at the map in ECMspy is all messed up. I have have heard of a 2.0 version right before it was canceled. So if you have something newer or the 2.0 please email it to me.

Also I have this other idea. Can I get a ecm off a 2007 and connect it to my 08 xb12r?

How did you get version 1.12.26? The best I can find anywhere is 1.12.1. Care you share?

No I don't think you can put the 07 ECM on an 08, the ignition systems pickups are different along with the TPS and other stuff.
I have read a little about some people loading the 07 and earlier maps into the 08 but I'm not sure whats involved in that.

Oh and if you can share I would love to have a copy too, as all I have is .1 version.

I will try to e-mail tomorrow. I hope I can find out anwser to my ecm issue. I really want to go over the map to clear up some issues. I have heard about directlink but you have to buy a 200 dollar usb chip to use the program. So please if anyone got an idea please send them this way.

BIG Thanks moto, I got it.

In case you didn't know, you could compress it into a .zip file, that would make it a smaller file size and usually safe from email scanners thinking it's a virus.
On a windows computer you usually right click on a file and 'send to- compressed(zipped)folder'.

It must already have a good compression on it.
I tried and it only went down from 9.22 to 9.20meg
I forwarded to you AC and recopied your address from here (jic).

It showed up in my box as 13 meg most mail servers don't go above 10 meg. My service won't up-load above 2 meg per attachment. I got lucky.

I received it...but I can't figure out what type of file it is. Windows doesn't recognize it.

What size is it?
Part may have got cut off.
I forwarded the installation program it should be an .exe file that is 9.22 meg when saved to your computer.

It 12.5 mb. I think it got garbled since you forwarded it. The original email became an attachment. Can you just attach the program to another email? I can accept files over 10mb no probs usually.

Hello,

Has anyone heard of BDDFI-III Tuner. Its a spread sheet that edit the hex dump. You still use ECMspy to get the hex dump and to burn the new hex in to the ecm. The only thing is that it cost 70 dollars for a spread sheet program. To me that is kinda high. Its said to work on 2008 xb and 1125r.

Hope it makes it intact. My account shows it as 13Meg, which is usually to big for emails.
