ecmspy version

Wondering if a "reference lib" of ECM revs and rider's maps could be created?

Could collect maps by model/year and mods - K&N+Drummer, K&N+Micron, pipe/no-K&N, etc (with caveats that state using these maps will melt your frame, ignite the fuel and get your sister pregnant).

A really fine set of baseline maps would be created and shared this way. Would help the pro-tuners do a better/quicker job, if no one else.

Buellysses I can e-mail you a copy of the version I have. Just let me know your e-mail and Ill try sending it.

Thank you

moto90909 i have BDDFI III tuner and it works really well i actually just got done doing what you want to do with putting the 07 map on to the 08 it works very well kind of time consuming becasue you manually have to change all the values on the bddfi tuner which changes the hexadecimal value then you have to fetch your eeprom with ecmspy then turn off the ignition and then make the changes to that. Dave with ohio sportbike is a real nice guy and he will work with you

No I can't send you that because he makes a software for your calibration I'd and yours might be different than mines

JJxb12r thats ok. I order it anyway and I am looking at it right now. I saying to myself there are so many ways I can blow the buell up now. I got to take my time and ready over everything carefully.

Buellysses that sounds good. Now I wish I had some one with me showing me what they did in the maps.

Thank you

ha ha ya dont make a 400 pound paper weight. the reason ecm spy doesnt work is that there are more rpm values that are on our bikes that the older bike dont have the same with the spark maps. so what i did was take the 07 race map and load it onto ecmspy then open bddfi 3 tuner and compare the two. make sure you have your stock eeprom saved before you do anything. then i just started changing the values in bddfi 3 tuner to match the ones in ecmspy. i did the fuel maps and saved them. on bddfi 3 tuner where the extra rpm values are i just made them flow with the values around them. when you change something on bddfi 3 tuner the hexadecimal values will change on the left hand side of the page and this is what you will use as a guide when you fetch your eeprom with ecmspy to make the changes. i did the same thing to the spark maps but i would advise you to leave the lower rpm values in the spark maps alone because when i changed mine to look like the 07 race map my bike did not idle good at all. i ended up changing the lower rpm values back to stock then it worked fine. once you are done making changes save everything and then print out the haxadecimal values on a sheet of paper to make it easier to look at when you have ecmspy open. now fetch your eeprom with ecmspy make sure the changes only box is checked. turn off the ignition and make the eeproms match overall this took me about two days to get everything changed loaded and get the kinks worked out. i went on a ride this weekend and my bike ran better than ever i hit 145-150 multiple times. i still need to tune it a little but if you have any questions let me know i will gladly help you out

Yeah I notice that. There are 12 rpm slots on the older ECM and mine has 16. Mainly the lower rpms. The upper are the same though. Thats funny though I was going to do the same thing compare the 2007 race map and edit from that. I printed out all four maps and this week end I was edit then try it out. And three more thing did you rise you rev limit? Also did you change the o2 set rpm so it never goes in to closed loop? Last one what did you set you APV to? Stock is 110 I hear people changing it to 115.

Thank you

Can you send me a screen show on your map? I just want to get a good idea on what it should look like when it done. If you can get a screen show of both front and rear fuel and timing.

My e-mail is in the first post.

Thank you

ya i will send you some screen shots and no i have not changed the 02 set but i think i might to see if it makes a difference but i have a wideband on so what would the benifits be and what is APV

First off sorry for the English. I just read my post and it sucks. I typed it really quick and it shows. Please do send some screen shots that would be helpful. Also I ment AFV for APV. Don't know where that came from. Stock APV is set at 110 for WOT enrichment. I have heard other people setting it to 115. Give you some extra timing on the injector if you are already maxed out at 255. On the wide band O2 do you have that going to the ecu or some of gauge? I want to do some logging but what program should I use? I going to buy one of those mini laptop and mount on the tank as a ride.

Thank you,

I will get you some screen shots but give me a couple days cuz my blazer broke down and I need to get that fixed but I did not change the afv at all and I have my O2 sensor going to a Gage and then another wire with the unit is a simulated narrow band signal so that is going to my ecm and it is programmed to adjust to 14.0:1 instead of 14.7:1
