I'm having a couple of problems with my 2002 Buell Blast. I got all of my mechanical issues sorted out, now all I have left are my electrical problems. Hopefully Minor.

1. My turn signals are acting up.
When I flip the switch either way the lights on that side will light up instead of blinking. Also There is a slightly loud buzzing sound that comes from the flasher relay when I turn them on. So I think the best solution for that problem is to replace the relay.

2. This is the one that I'm more confused over: My tail light(running light/brake light) wasn't working. So I replaced the bulb. Now the running light works fine, but the filament for the brake light isn't lighting up. Any Ideas? I tried looking along the wiring, but this is my first bike so it all looks like a complex puzzle to me. So if you have any tips or suggestions please let me know. I don't want to end up paying hundreds of dollars for something I can possibly fix myself.
thanks

A poor ground will make all kinds of weird things happen. The circuit will back feed looking for the ground. That doesn't mean the relay isn't bad. Use a meter to see if signal is going to your lights. Check your brake with both the hand brake and the foot brake. Make sure you have the correct tail/brake light bulb. Others may fit but will not function properly. Here is a link to a manual for your bike if you don't have one. Hope this helps. http://buellmods.com/index.php/viewdownload/11-blast/81-2002-blast-manual
