Engine Light Engine Bog and Full Sweep???

Hey guys the past few days under a acceleration the bike sputters and jerks. The engine light comes on and the speedo and tech do full sweeps. Any ideas??
Bike has a drummer and race ECM not sure if the previous owner has done a TPS rest?? Bike ran fine for the fist week I had it....

If the speedo and tach are doing their full sweep then the bike is losing electrical power.

First thing to check would be a loose battery connection. Make sure to check the frame side of the ground.

You could also have a bad fuse. Check to make sure the Key switch fuse and accessory fuse are both in tight and corrosion free.

The last thing that I can see (and the worst one to diagnose) would be a short somewhere.

Thanks! I recently painted my side rails I was thinking I read somewhere that they are a grounding point?? That was actually the last time the bike was running properly... where do they ground out to the frame?

Seemed to actually be a loose neg. battery terminal.
Bike runs fine now... Knock on wood

same exact thing happened to me a few weeks back.. just a loose terminal!

Kinda scary with the low end torque these have! It about trys to buck you off!
