Engine light question

So about a week ago was riding with some friends on 09 12r and after filling up with gas wouldn't turn over enough for engine to start. Got it push started and rode to the local Harley dealer. The battery was almost completely dead when they were looking at it. They said it was a bad battery...replaced it and I was on my way with no issues. A few days ago was getting ready to ride into work and as it was warning up while I was putting on gear engine light came on and rpms started jumping around +/- 500. Restarted and everything was fine on ride in. After work bike kinda struggled to start. On ride home engine light comes on and engine cuts out for a second then everything ran fine for a few miles until it did it one more time. Any thought...nervous about taking it anywhere now! Sorry for the huge post

I would have the dealer chase down the wiring harness you may have dome wires that are shorting out somewhere

Thx for the advice...gonna take it in next Friday and wanted an idea of what it could be
