the 1125 competes in the super bike class as well. something tells me buell is going to be a major player within the next few years.

I loved watching it since it sounded like a swarm of wasps and then the one 1125 whipping past like a huge Bumble bee.

Amazing how you could hear the one bike over all the rest.

wish i could watch it :0( they had moto gp on in the gym one night but it was promptly changed for some wwf bullshit.

RSV shouldn't be there either. The power to weight is way off even if they do add 15lbs. Oh well. Congrats to Eslick I guess.

It was awesome in person at Laguna Seca! The craziest thing was seeing a KTM Super Duke competing with them. That dude was hardcore. He even went down, got back up and still finished ahead of others.

The RSV, KTM and Buells all sounded very similar.

Yep Buell needs to get out of the DSB series and step up their game and be competitive in the liter class. I understand why they are doing it but its embarrassing and makes the buell brand look cheap and under achieving.

They took 3rd in Canadian Superbike last year against all the top liter bikes.

Also displacement isn't everything, if it was we'd all be racing 1800cc Metric Cruisers.

Minimum Weights: 365lbs (4 cyl.), 375lbs (3 cyl.), & 385lbs (2 cyl.)

Bikes Weight HP – 3.14 Ratio HP - 2.65 Ratio Stock HP Stock HP-to-Race Weight

Honda CBR600RR 365 116.24 137.74 105 3.48
Kawasaki ZX-6R 365 116.24 137.74 107 3.41

Anyway how can you hate on a guy that can do this?

Anyone who knows anything about Buells knows even though the displacement is far higher than the 600's it is compairable due to the setup.

Eslick is a great rider and seems to be pretty down to earth, and thats rare for that profession of men. I think him and the Buell compliment eachother. Although the Buell is a torque monster compared to the 600cc's. Coming out of those corners he pulls on them so hard.

We'll see how it does against the liter bikes. That’s the only way to see how the 1125 really compares. Not to take anything away from Eslick. I’m sure he’s a hell of a rider. For sure he would still be competitive on something smaller. But I can’t even bring myself to watch the 1125 against the 600’s. It’s embarrassing. And the rolling starts are the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. This is not NASCAR. Why do American racing associations try and remove important parts of racing? It’s not just about loud fast machines. Remove the start, right hand turns, and braking (real braking) from auto racing and you get NASCAR. A dumbed down version of auto racing. Is that where they want to go with bikes. I’ll be watching WSB and MotoGP until AMA and DMG pull their heads out of their ass and return the sport to something worth watching.

But that is a sweet pic
