which one of you guys is Erik? Can you just clear up these rumors and announce your business plan so we can all stop sweating?
 
erik buell racing is complete independent company owned by erik buell, he is only using a license from HD for 1125r race bikes and parts and the name 1125(r), just like other companies under a license to make parts for other companies (example ford and shelby or calloway corvette GM, list goes on ) but that also means as an independent company they can make a completely new vehicle all of there own designs and patents and trademarks, and also it may give them the option to remake and reVIN vehicles as a manufacture tuner vehicle company with certain licenses bad news is though no new buells motorcycle company bikes wont be made in the near future if ever from HD.( but this looks like it could possiblely give him the chance build other buells like the Xb under license from HD, in which Hd is making money from and they dont have to sell the buell company or take risk of losing money (or face) in the manufacture of buell bikes,if erikbuell racing takes over in new warranty and parts issues and liabilty for the bikes ) but with it being a complete seperate independent company they may in the future make and other for sale limited street legal versions of the bikes of new designs from and made by erik buell racing . alot of campanies make parts and vehicles for racing and many of them also build street legal versions also to build the companies profits and to keep there main vision and company alive and thriving, look at ferrari for instance enzo built street cars in the beginning so his company ferrari could race cars which is what he did before he built cars.this is also basicly what erik started doing 26 years ago and he is not giving up on his dreams(or his 200year company plan) just a new company with a different name, a name harley does not own, with limited ties to harley for the buell 1125r but as soon he designs & develops a completely new bike for racing he wont need harley (except license for 1125r) and maybe this new bussines venture may give him the $$$ money to purchase back some of his patents from HD. the possibilties are endless with the new erik buell racing company and we can hope and ask for a competely new erik buell motorcycles in the future.
 
I've seen a lot of people and projects get let go in the engineering department recently at the HDMC, but I did NOT see that yellow bike thing or hear anything about it

it is possible that Buell kept it entirely in house, but a TON of their oiling and calibration work is done in the cubes next to mine

I think that is probably just one of the 1125RR prototypes (without a chain conversion) out for a spin if anything, though I may be wrong
 
Hey maybe w will get lucky and they will start cranking our the race exhaust and ecm units again!
 
I checked into the Barracuda II story

the original Barracuda is the 1125 motor, that is just what they called it in dev

that IS a legit picture, I was wrong

that was one of the projects Buell was keeping almost entirely in house I guess, but along with the company is probably terminated entirely
