has anybody else done this?

It happened to me yesterday, no more debit card, license, work ID, insurance cards, college ID, and out $20

I'm going to ride with it zipped up in my coat pocket from now on (once i replace all my cards, and get a new wallet!

yup sure did... like 3 years back but a buddy following my ass waved me down and said something fell from my jacket...i had to go back 5 miles and run on to the hwy to get it...thanks to the buddy system i reunited with my walled.

When I ride, I carry a front pocket wallet with my debit card, insurance card and cash. No risk of losing it that way.

Nope, but my phone fell out one time! Got home and my wife was asking where my phone was ani checked my pocket and it wasn't there. She said some kid called and said he found my phone on the road, about 48 miles from home by the way. The kid had the smarts and honesty to look in my address book and call my wife and call. Went back and met the kid and his friend and thanked them endlessly and gave them $50 bucks as a reward for being honest.

i back tracked my ride as soon as i realized it was missing, but i didnt find it. oh well, band told me to expect my new debit card in 7-10 days, insurance cards will take about two days, i'm going to try to get the work ID replaced tomorrow, and the drives license is still up in the air, i'm from Illinois, but am currently living in TN.

I could try to replace my IL license by having them mail me paperwork to fill out then returning it to them so they can send me a new license, or i could look into just getting a TN license seeing as i'll be here for the next two years.

(do any of you know if you need to be a resident of a state to get a drivers license from them if you are stationed in that state? I'm just trying to decide which method would be the fastest.

I keep my wallet, phone and rotor lock in the little compartment on my bolt.

ever lose your wallet while riding?
NO I have not but it is always a fear of mine. I'm skinny enough that I can reach all the way around my waist and do a wallet check while ridng.LOL Which I do religiously it seems.

I'm very sorry to hear of your misfortune. May things be settled for you soon.

Good Luck [up]

Not lost a wallet but have lost a cell phone.Me and a few buddies we riding back from a biker event and one of them said I thought I saw something about 75 miles back.Did not go back for it we was on the interstate.Sorry about your bad luck.

I was riding from St Louis to Florida last year. It had been hot and I had my jacket rolled up and strapped to the seat behind me most of the day.
Here it is about 7 at night and I get the fear so I reach back and sure enough my coats not there. I panic big time. I had my new Kimber 45 in the pocket and my wallet in the zip pocket.
I pull off the road in Louisiana somewhere and now I am looking at the bike to see where my coat is. And now I contemplate back tracking 100 miles to look for it knowing someone else would have seen it and picked it up. Panic Panic! Cus, Cus, Cus...
Then I realize, I wearing my coat!
Emergency cleared. On with my trip home.

I have lost cell phone, but my wallet always stays firmly seated in my ass pocket...May want to invest in one of those uber cool wallet chains :D then you can be a real biker..!

Kidding, I personally hate those things...no offense to those who do have them, I just dont see the attraction.

I got a couple slim line wallets the moment i started riding. Holds my ID, CC's and Insurance pieces. I only keep 20-40 in cash on me at any given time so i just leave that loose in a pocket. Those haven't fallen out yet neither has my phone.... knock on wood

I throw it in my jacket pocket and zip it along with my cell phone. If I'm not wearing a jacket it goes in the front pockets. Check it every 5 minutes with a tap to the pockets.

I have been riding for over 13 years now. I lost my first wallet when I was 21 and on a road trip. Ever since then I have the wallet with a chain. I get asked all the time why a wallet with a chain. Now you know. Plus it guards against pick pockets.

I always put my wallet in my front pocket weather on my bike or not. I never like sitting on a wallet. So the answer is no.

Happened to me on my way to work this morning. Thankfully a lady pulled up next to me at the next light and told lme something had fallen out of my pocket. Glad she had seen it, had all the cash to make the bike house and truck payment in it. I got lucky on that one!

i've lost mine twice riding cuz i forgot to zip my jacket pockets. I was able to find everything down to the last dollar both times though. I guess you could say I am lucky.
