Exhaust actuator

Does anyone know where the exhaust actuator is located on a 2008 buell ulysses? If it was diagnosed as faulty and i can tell that it was because of the way it handles. I have heard that it can be wired open and there will be no difference.

I appreciate any help with this.

Take your air box cover off that is the one with buell stickers on it and on top of the air boxes itself is the actuator.
