farthest you have ridden in one day?

I bought a select seat for the long hauls, and a trip to the east would be a great ride hope to do it one day.

I would love to ride from Greensboro up to MA to visit family while my wife drives the kids in the Jeep. About 800 miles. Maybe this summer. My niece is dying to ride my Buell.

I did a San Diego trip, but hadn't planned on it being cold, leaving Phoenix in the 90's and going through the mountains coming into El Cajon on I8 from Alpine/Jucumba I was freezing, literally had to be in the mid 20's. Got to San Dog, bought a heavy fleece coat as a liner and better gloves for the ride back.

Did that in my car once. Bought a brand new company car in PHX, it was 103, drove to Mission Beach and got there around 9:00PM in May. It was 63 degrees, I was freezing my ass off. Girls were in shorts and bikinis but since I had dropped 40 degrees I was shivering. And I grew up in Mission Beach! The next day I was OK, but that first night!???!!! [confused]

Squatty, it also saves me from having to carry a hat to avoid a head sun burn when I stop and take the helmet off.

Yeah It is a different animal on a bike. I was totally setup for warm weather. I had to stop at every available rest area just to thaw out a bit, and it was at night. left phoenix around 9pm, got into Chula Vista around 2:30-3. I have ridden in the high 20's, but I dressed properly, thermals, heavy socks, a hoodie, belaclava, winter gloves.
and your right once I was there I re-acclimated quickly. I was stationed there for over 5 years.

343 miles is the longest I've done, from Socal to Phoenix area with just gas stops on my STT w/ solo seat. My butt hurt so bad when I got to my friends house, couldn't sit for a couple hours. I moved around on the saddle and even stood up for some of the ride but it was all to no avail. I'll be looking into a different seat for sure.

longest on my 12R so far was in 06 from 1hr north of SF down hwy1 to San luis obispo... Then I was pooped- that's ALOT of coastal corners.
Had to crash , then got up early the next morning& finished my trip to LA..
Gone farther on rice...

NO Midnight, its like a "flash hood", covers your head/neck then tucked under your jacket or shirt.
The Dessert is "Boclava" unsure on the spelling.

on my HD nightster i rode 530 it was brutal From Fremont NE to Sturgis SD the next day i got up and put on another 300 ridin through the hills my ass was beyond dead and then we rode the whole week and rode home the long way and that was over 700 miles in 1 day i put over 2000 miles on in 1 week it killed me almost
