Just wanted to show my fender elimination and exhaust mods. Feel free to critique. Pardon the camera phone pics.

nice work, looks good. might be the look you where going for, but my only suggestion on the fender would be to taper both sides at the tip like mine, but your bike, your look, either way looks nice

Looks like a weapon I like it :D[up]

Like "Back up or I will stab you!!"

What's the Quote:

"mess with the Buell, you get the horns"

I think fabing stuff yourself is always cool, but in this case I have to butt in an be the one to say that I don't like this at all. I've seen enough accidents to know that this could kill you. When you go down, you never know what that bike is going to do. When you're tumbling down the road and your bike is cartwheeling next to you, you could cross paths..... Just saying... there IS a chance.

And don't even act like you're not going down. EVERYONE is going down.

Agree, not only is this horribly dangerous, but IMO I think it looks like an unfinished hack job. But that is only my opinion do what you wish.

When I went down last year, the tailsection (a normal one, with the cheese grater) and the license plate came right into my leg. The result? One week in the hospital and a ugly scar. But with this "fender eliminaton" I certainly would have lost my leg.

Never underestimate dumb luck when it comes to injuries. The one in a million shot would be a gigantic vampire bite!

everytime I see the mod done like this I just can't help but see a three horned rhino beetle... but still props on doing it yourself

oh and yes I agree scary in terms of potential for a closed casket funeral

Id have to agree with you on this. I didnt give it too much consideration when i did the mod but ill have to think of something. Ill probably end up cutting it flush to the tail light.

Thanks guys

A person would go crazy thinking about all the things that could go wrong on a bike - if he took it all serious, we'd leave the bikes at home and take the Cage.

Not my cup of tea, but if it was, I wouldn't let the "safeness" of it stop me. Consider their points, but do what you want. In the end, that's what makes that bike yours. ;)

Im considering molding some rubber tips to put on the ends. Perhaps make them clear and put red LEDS in them to make them part of the tail light. Just a thought.

That would look cool with the lights, but dont expect a couple of rubber tips to make them feel any better in that one in a million shot of getting gored. 400+ lbs wont be stopped by rubber tips.

If it were me, live dangerously and go with the hard core points. Like the look, go with it.
