Yes... after 8 patient months of searching and waiting...I purchased a 2003 XB9s. I just got it home and I can't stop smiling. I love it. I took it for a quick ride down the block and had a grin ear to ear. I definitely have some ideas for the bike... Here's a picture of the XB9s and R1.

I know the feeling. Its great. I just recently purchased my first Buell, a 2004 xb12s. The first thing I'm planning is to get the frame and sub-frame all painted the same color. You should think about that. BTW does anyone have any pics of XBs with one tone chassis???

Ridendude - more East Coast than anything.. Windsor,Ontario.. where are you located?

Chase 12s - 1 tone definitely looks great but the only changes I will be doing anytime soon are quick DIY's (Cut the cheese grater off..things like that.) and paying what I owe on it off. Besides the silver frame is starting to grow on me. Maybe one day..

Beautiful BC. Southern interior. Right now I'm stuck with my '04 xb 12s in my living room in place of my coffee table:D waiting for a couple more parts before she hits the road.

welcome indeed! I just realized I haven't seen a picture of the cheese grater in so longer, I almost caught myself thinking-What the hell is that thing?? [cool]

Grats. I have the same year, make, and color as you.
It looks like you have the OEM race exhaust on there, that is a definite plus. Mine has that exhaust as well.

I had the bike out all night.... The bike is a monster in the turns and has a fist full of power down low. It's clear now that this bike was made for the twisties. Lots of fun, comfortable, unique and just plain cool. A few riding buddies were a bit shocked (All the guys I ride with have Japanese Sport Bikes) especially being that I have only owned Japanese Sport Bikes. They mostly just busted my nuts... But I am happy with what I am riding and wouldn't change a thing. Overall a great bike, I definitely look forward to this summer. oh and yeah the OEM race exhaust is stupid loud! I have to ride with ear plugs!! hahah
