Hi guys,

Does anyone have any experience with original or aftermarket clutch lever assembly's (I guess that's what they are called) from other bikes or manufacturers?

Just to be clear: I Don't mean aftermarket levers, but the holder of these levers. For those of you wondering why I would be doing this the answer is mounting mirrors underneath the handlebars. And I already have a radial brake which I'm planning to install on the other side of the handlebar. I'm planning on mounting it with the "mirror shim/mounting clamp thingie" upside-down. So it's good looking to have both sides the same.

Now not all of these clutch assembly blocks (lets call them that) are the same. Most of them are 1 bolt mounted just like the Buell's stock ones so there is no way to mount my mirrors to. However i have found a set of ZX6/10 R ones that look perfect to me. https://hotparts.nl/home/4583-koppe...html?search_query=koppelingshendel&results=30

Or for example these ones (can get them for a good price): http://www.titax.com/products/brake-and-clutch-levers/titax-racing-clutch-levers

I just don't know if they will fit. Here are some ISR ones that fit from the factory but they are way to expensive for me: http://badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/32777/235748.html (halfway the page).

I'm sorry if there is a topic about this somewhere but i just couldn't find it.

It's called the clutch perch. I used a 2006 R1 perch on my Buell, was almost identical, except the clutch cable housing fit a little loose.

Why do you want to change it? There really isn't a reason to. I only did because I got a good deal on some R1 ASV levers

I wrote why in the first bit:

Well, I just bought my bike with mirrors on it. Rizoma circuit 851 mirrors, but they are hideous and I literally can't se notching but my arms or a blurry light when i move my arm.

I know the existence of the product you refer to, we even sell them in the shop I work. But this is yet another add on on the handlebars. And i want them to be clean and empty.

I came across a German Buell with awesome mirrors underneath the bars.

Sounds like you would have liked my old bike. This was just before I crashed, also just before I had planned to re anodize everything....

Might just be my bars since they're a little lower than factory, but if I ran upside down mirrors they would DEFINITELY hit the frame when turning the bars.
Except for maybe those upside down bar end ones on that German website.

I apparently have Aprilia mirrors on my lightning, they were installed when I bought the bike, and they do a pretty good job of showing what's behind me. I catch some shoulder but it's negligible.
The vibration is kind of hard to cure, so at certain RPMs it is blurry...

They stick out about even with the bar ends. That's where you get your best visibility, as wide as possible, it's why bar-end mirrors have become so popular. I don't like having to look down that far, but for a while I was considering a single bar end mirror as a rear-view on motorcycles where I got a better view of my shoulder than the road behind me. Not an issue on my Buell. These mirrors are as close to perfect as I've ever gotten on a moto.
