Flashing a Race Map to ALL Buells (08+ too)

Ok new data on how to.

If a person beeeeeeeggggggggs hard enough you get answers.

Revision on how to If in doubt and you have good links ask for help. So I did. got basic info where I figured it out. now I pass it on.


tools needed

rs232/ttl cable I sell these same as old ecmspy cable.


1999 to 2010 bikes
Downloads Needed

1. Tunerpro basic
2. Ecmread
3. Mono runtime
4. Fetched data from bike
5. Matching XDF file to ecm Firmware


Now the easy part done this way. No converting needed according to Gunter on xpr to bin.

* Open Tunerpro
* load your xdf file
* go to the file on the top click it.
* Click open bin
* go to the lower screen on the right click the file type drop down arrow. select all file types.
* now go to your eeprom folder in the Ecmread program select the xpr file you like(want to load to tunerpro). It now opens in Tunerpro as a xpr file.
* make your changes as you wish and save. (rename it)
* save in the eeprom folder in Ecmread.


Now to Burn

1. click burn
2. navigate to the folder or location you just placed this new file from Tunerpro in.
3. read and check it a few times.
4. highlight it to select new file
5. Make sure you selected correct file.(read write does not care of firmware type) wrong firmware and you get issues)
6. select file now lower right of screen.
7. its now burning to the bike.

Done!

pretty simple that way huh? A fancy ecmspy!!! whoot whoot

update #2 when renaming the file. keep .xpr in the name and save as bin. It will save correctly. will test in the morning. Too late tonight. will update.

This is the easy button for Tunerpro.(quote lone wolf on BB)

now you get everything. no cheap sheets needed or passwords or buying stuff for programming the bikes. you have it all. not partial data. you can finally get real tuning power.

for anyone who has not tried it yet here one thing that I have found might be Brand of computer?

after "Export as TunerPro V4 Bin-Definition" and you can't open file in tuner pro, open tuner pro then "Export as TunerPro V4 Bin-Definition" and it loaded right into tuner pro.

in tuner pro, if file from bike is opened as a xpr then saved as bin the file it becomes "filename.xpr.bin" ?
burn like this or change before burn?

Stuck in hotel cant try to burn for a day or two

click save bin as in the file tab.
change save file type to (*.*)
name the file with a .xpr
save to ecmread folder.

guess that wasn't clear

It will save as .xpr this way.

I have a 2006 xb12ss lightning and did the mods. I need maps to load and instructions on how to load em. Can anyone provide me with some maps please?? I have done the following mods: drummer,airbox delete, K&N, and hose reroute. without a major tune it runs like *#(#. PLEASE help because mine is sitting in the garage now. I've been begging on here for days? What up?

Has anyone got past the page 14 and page 15 fault during the fetch on a 1125r. an incomplete fetch will show maps allow to modify but wont burn?@#?@

WTF!!!!! I cant get mono to work! it keeps telling me I need vvisual studio 2008. so I download it and it still wont let me. aaahhhhhhhhhh I hate technology when it wont do what i want it to do! can anybody help me?

I finally got it to work after about a half dozen uninstalls, reinstalls and restarts. must be a windows seven niggle or something?![confused]

BUECB.xdf doesn't seem to work on my BUEOD0CB 06-05-07 firmware. Bikes 08 SCG. The maps are totally screwed up. What am I missing?
Anyhow, nice work guys! Trying this out rather than using Direct Link, eventough it's already paid for.

ok ran into a little problem I opened the XDF file then opened the XPR file but the windows never popped up all over the place, what am I doing wrong? I also tried renaming the extension to BIN before opening it but still nothing.[confused]
