Flashing a Race Map to ALL Buells (08+ too)

ok well i found the firmware I.D and i can't find a listing for my particular firmware is there any place else i can find firmware. mine is aBUEODOCB 06-04-07

I'm not real familiar with the different kinds of firmware, but from the date listed with your firmware, you should be able to use the old ECMSPY. That would be much easier to use.

That is not already a race ecm is it?

Have you opened it with ECMSpy - I believe it reads/displays firmware in the lower-left corner of the window.

I went back to ecmspy to get my firmware specific to copy to tunerpro and could not find mine listed.
do i need tunerpro to make adjustments to my rev limiter? can i just use ecmspy? and where can i find a copy of a map to compare to i am looking for a map for a pipe and filter install

If yours is an '07 or an early early '08 you can just use ecmspy.

still trying to work through it all and understand it
did he breather by pass and wow what a difference.I rode my bike for 2 straight hours and it seemed the longer i rode it he stronger it got seems like the ecm is learning to work with my upgrades, go figure.
I still bump into the rev limiter so i am still looking into raising hta up abit. any advice?

I followed the instructions and downloaded everything, installed and moved to step 2 and all i keep getting is:

This application has failed to start because mono.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.

well...reinstalling does not help. This is getting old. I changed out the muffler to a hawk, and the filter to a K&N. I wanna ride and I dont know what to do.

Is there anyone who has this done in SJ that is willing to meet me to help me out, or anyone who can walk me through this on here?

uninstall everything..
install the mono program the gtk program from the mono website first.
Then install the ecmread 2nd. restart the computer. it will work now.

If you put ecm read in first it wont work.
It has to be last..

for some reason I can not load the race map into ECMSpy.
The options under file are all grayed out except for exit. I have the race map in a text file.

Have to ask - Be sure you're clicking "Load Map" and not "Load EEPROM" under the File tab.

I'll be living in either Pomona or Covina. That being said, I can school you on how to datalog/tune anywhere you'd like. I'm not sure where I'll be renting a house yet, but as soon as I'm there, you're welcome to drop by and hang out. Where do you reside?

I'm still working through datalogging and tuning with an LC-1 on my 09 XB12Ss, so I should be totally set to help you out when July rolls around. I would suggest you purchase an LC-1 with WB O2 before I arrive so we can get you totally set to rock out with your cock out.
