Fork tube size?

Good Morning all in Buell-land!

I am thinking of doing an S/R conversion, and I know this requires changing the trees, but I wanted to know; I have an '07 STT and the donor bike is an '06 R. Would the forks be the same diameter? What all parts would need to be changed? I know the following:

Front fairing (incl. all mounts, brackets, headlight...)
Trees
Harness

Oh, yeah, also:

Mirror moounts from the S to go to the R
Handlebar

I don't see why you would need to change the harness.

I was thinking that because of the ecm location. I'm not sure there's room up front (in the lightning) for everything and the ECM. I'm open to suggestions

If your switching from a S front to a R front its really easy. No harness needed. All your electronics are in the tail.
You will want R throttle cables, clutch cables, and Brake line as well. Especially being that your going from a STT which has taller bars I believe.

I did the same swap on my Lightning long. Its pretty much bolt on.

RRH, Jornum, The donor bike will need to be functional also. I was looking at a picture and it looks like the Fuse block and ecm are up front. Would there be problems with the R if I didn't donate the S harness?

Jornum, did you do a write up? I'm not running the stock handlebar anymore...I switched to a clubman bar
