Forum search function

I have the worst luck with the search function on this forum, and even though I always try to use it, I usually end up having to just ask my questions, which I'm sure have been answered 20 times already.

Does anyone have any tricks to using the search function? It seems to be set on an "or" search, meaning if I type in two words, it'll bring up every thread that has either the first word or the second word, which makes for a pretty broad search, especially since it searches the whole thread and not just titles. I've tried quotations, +, and using the word "and" between words, and none of it helps. If anyone knows how to make it more useful and wants to share, it would be greatly appreciated. [up]

Try using a google search with what you are looking for and buellxb in the search. While not perfect it works significantly better than the websites search function.

"wheel bearings site:buellxb.com" is how you would want to search

i'll have to try using google next time too.

whenever i search using the sites search feature, no matter what i'm searching for, the "Buell porn" thread is usually the first thread shown in the results lol

i always end up searching at buelletinboard instead

haha, it just pulls up the results it knows you really want, like the compass on Pirates of the Carribean that always points towards what you want, instead of north.
