Frame Sliders for a 2008 XB12R ?

Hi all, noob here...
I am new to this forum and just ordered a 2008 XB12. I was talking with buddy of mine who rides a GSXR and he mentioned to get frame sliders in case I lay the bike down. Are frame sliders something you can get for an XB? if not what kind of options do I have. Thanks

framesliders can be bought @ your dealer.

engine, fork & swingarmsprotectors can be bought from several aftermarket manufacturers as sato, lsl, ...

Frame pucks can be bought at your dealer. Frame sliders you may have to order off the net, because not all dealers are set up to distribute LSL and Sato stuff.
