Front brake still pusling! $400+ later

I wonder if it could be a combination of the wheel bearings and spacer ? If the axle had at some point been over tightened then it could have compressed the spacer, and now if the bearings are worn there could be too much play ...

Just an idea.

Played around with the washers today as spacers and I may have gotten it better but it is still uneven so Im just going to see if the front brake will lock up still and if not I might just deal with it.... Without access to precision machines I doubt I will be able to get it perfect anyways. Hate to say it but I think I am getting to a point where I really want a second bike. The buell always needs some sort of work done to it and I dont mind working but it seems it has more issues then perks. I dont want to get rid of it so dont ask, just want to have it for certain rides.

Im taking the long haul of bleeding the new brake lines and trying to get all the air out is such a pain when you have had the whole system apart... even with a speed bleeder, which I dont even think it helps.

use your rear bike stand, spool ends up....long, straight rod or pipe of the same diameter of the axle and a dial indicator with a stand (magnetic base is a common one) to check your wheel bead wall and wheel surface

reverse bleed your brake system, from caliper to res

I can't get ahold of a dial Indicator is my problem. Also my speed bleeder is on my caliper. I am not a fan of those anymore. ESP for their Price.

I use a set up like this to reverse bleed

Got the front bled and went to work with the bike. No strange pulsing and no strange wear marks. Will have to see if this lasts when I take the bike out tomorrow for a bed in on the rotor.

Btw- I spent about 20 mins trying to bleed the rear brake (had it apart as well for a cleaning) and I still have no fluid coming out and the res level has stayed the same, like the fluid isnt being drawn into the line. Ill try a reverse bleed like thrstrmech does. I have a turkey baster thingy.

If the front brake is fixed then all i need is a tune and new fuel pump! Bike needs a tune so bad it feels like it weighs 800lbs and something is holding the engine back.

I had trouble with bleeding my rear also. Try opening the bleeder and leaving the cap off the reservoir for an hour or so and let it gravity bleed, see if that will get it started.

Still couldnt get anywhere with the rear brake. Even through the speed bleeder on it. Was trying for an hour trying to get any pressure and nothing. Tried to reverse bleed without success. Its strange because it wont suck any fluid down from the res (not clogged cause it will drain freely) but if I remove the bleeder cap and pump the brake you can see it moving fluid...

Also does anyone have a 1125cr race map? My bike needs a tune pretty bad.

Did you try gravity bleeding? (you will still need to loosen the bleeder for this, and maybe even put a regular bleeder in, not a speed bleed). I bought speed bleeders also and honestly was not impressed. I think I did leave them in though.

go to harbor freight and get a dial indicator and mag base, jack up front of bike, attach to fork tube with indicator riding on rotor, spin wheel and check for runout should be .005 or less
