Front exit exhaust??

On main reason is just because you can. I think that's people's motivation for a lot of projects on these bikes. Aside from that, one benefit would be getting the heat away from your feet when you're stopped at a redlight. My hawk exaust doesn't blow on my feet at all, but my stock exhaust did constantly, so they might've just been trying to keep the exit as far from their foot as they could.

It's really just for looks. It can help keep the exhaust off your feet, but mine doens't.
